About the authors:
Nick Flynn is the author of This Is the Night Our House Will Catch Fire and three previous memoirs, including the PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award-winning Another Bullshit Night in Suck City, and four volumes of poetry. A professor on the creative writing faculty at the University of Houston, he lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Pablo Medina: Pablo Medina has published several collections of poetry in both Spanish and English, as well as five novels, a memoir, and several books of translation from Spanish. A former Guggenheim fellow, his work has appeared in journals and magazines throughout the United States, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. His latest collection, The Foreigner's Song: New and Selected Poems, was published by Tiger Bark Press in February 2021. He is on faculty at the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers and lives in Williamsville, VT.
Gail Mazur is the founder of the Blacksmith House poetry reading series, one of the oldest continuous series in the country. She has taught widely, including the graduate writing programs of Boston University, Emerson College, and the University of Houston. She has received numerous grants and awards and is the author of seven books of poetry, most recently, Forbidden City.
